Iran wins second gold in Asian Cycling Champs.

TEHRAN, Jan. 28 (MNA) – Iran’s cyclist has won the second gold medal for his camp during Asian Cycling Championship 2016 underway in Japan.

Mohammad Daneshvar won the gold Thursday morning local time in 1km. This was the sixth medal of Iranian national squad. Iran’s other five medals had been won before.  

Fatemeh Dodavand in women’s sprint failed to score better than 12th place; however, she came second to Chinese cyclist in the next round to find a second chance in the next round, where she came third to Japanese and Taiwanese cyclists and fell short of reaching quarter finals. 

Forouzan Abdollahi, Iran’s second women cyclist, also failed to reach to final round in qualifiers for Time Trial with scoring no better than 4.14 minutes and standing in ninth place.
